Established in 1989, COSEIA is the nonprofit association leading Colorado's solar industry. Our mission is to expand the use of solar technologies across Colorado. COSEIA advances solar policy, removes market barriers, highlights emerging trends, and improves education and outreach.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you Colorado's solar electric capacity grew by 91% in 2010 and now exceeds 103 MW and interest in solar thermal technologies continues to grow. Our State can benefit from Colorado’s natural sunny resources as we strive to be the solar capital of America.

COSEIA is a nonprofit 501 c(6) and dues and contributions are deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses for Federal Income Tax purposes. Dues and contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions. The tax deductibility of dues paid to COSEIA as ordinary business expenses is subject to restrictions imposed as a result of lobbying activities.  The portion devoted to lobbying is no longer deductible as a business expense.  COSEIA estimates that the non-deductible portion of your dues for the 2010 tax year to be 33%.
